The WaveLight® Analyzer is a diagnostic device to support the decision-making process for personalized patient treatment paths. By calculating the individual wavefront aberrations of the eye, this device delivers measurement data for the preparation of Wavefront-Guided treatments.

The rotating panel PC includes both a computer and monitor which can be used for showing patients their individual data.
An integrated passive eye tracker offers automatic pupil centration based on the center of the pupil and allows perfect centration of the measurement.

• Pupil shape detection, centering certification, and pupil size criteria
• Raw data analysis
• Calculation of Zernike polynomials up to the 6th order for high resolution of higher order aberrations
• Automated image validation function for qualification of raw data
• Enhanced filter function for better spot detection
• Export function to the WaveLight® Excimer Lasers for the preparation of Wavefront-Guided treatments
• Export function of Zernike polynomials in OSA standard
• Selectable export drive
Visualization options support the data analysis:
• Overview maps
• Zernike coefficients for evaluation of the higher order aberrations
• Power maps (sagittal and tangential)
• Point spread function (PSF) to simulate the aberration of a point light source

A-CAT Software Module for WaveLight® Excimer Laser Systems
The A-CAT software allows data transfer from the Analyzer diagnostic device to the WaveLight® Excimer Laser systems and enables customized, Wavefront-Guided treatments.
Clinical indications for Wavefront-Guided treatments are:
• Virgin eyes with higher order aberrations
• Dissatisfactory quality of vision
• Night vision problems
• Reduced contrast sensitivity
• Previously decentered ablations
