GE NMT Module:
GE Healthcare offers the NMT module. The module provides quantitative, automatic measurements of muscle response to stimuli. This objective measurement helps assess the level of block throughout surgery . It times the administration of antagonists and extubation, avoiding residual paralysis.
The NMT module includes two sensor types:
MechanoSensor:
•Measures thumb motion using a piezoelectric sensor.
•Converts physical motion to an electrical signal and quantifies the evoked mechanical response.
•Available in both adult and pediatric sizes.
ElectroSensor:
•Measures the electrical activity of the muscle using recording electrodes.
•Quantifies the response to nerve stimulation.
•Suitable for use on the patient’s hand or foot in both adult and pediatric patients.

•The module sets the supramaximal current. It automatically cycles according to the user-defined measurement interval.
