When a ferrous metal material comes in close proximity to the posts, the lights turn red and the audible alarm sounds as intended.

Condition & Testing

This device is in excellent cosmetic and tested workin condition. The two posts require being connected to power using either a 12V battery or power supply. We used 2 12V batteries to test. We positioned the posts at a distance of 5 feet separation and it properly detected any ferrous metal that came between the two units.
